6.5 x 47L small base die?

It seems that I have a situation that requires me to put some 1x 6.5x47L brass through a small base die. What are my options as I cannot seem to find a true 47L small base body die made. Thanks, Drew

Before you purchase a 308 family sb die I would take a mic and measure your suspect brass.. It is quite possible that a regular 308 family fl die may be smaller at the base than the die you currently have. Might save you from oversizing the base.

If you're having problems chambering your F/L sized cases it could be that your shell holder needs to be milled by a thou. or two maybe three. I had this problem with a 6.5X47L F/L die and it solved the problem. Measure your fired case from datum to base then measure the F/L sized case. You may find that your die has reached a critical point where it has pushed the shoulder FORWARD and can't be adjusted downward enough to actually push the shoulder back. Just another possibility.

I have run into the same issue.
You should not need a SB die unless your chamber is tight (less than .4715). I measure the cases just above the extractor groove before resizing. If they are larger than .471, I run them them through a standard 308 F/L die first to resize the web and then through the 6.5x47L F/L to bump the shoulder before wiping off the lube.

For those how encounter this problem, I can say that a 308 SB body die solved the problem of 47L brass that would not chamber
