I was working on a new load and shot this group. I’m really concerned about the horizontal and vertical stringing.
I put out wind flags but they were really hard to read. It’s an indoor range and when someone opened the door to come in, I think I saw one flag move a little. Could that be the problem?
Anyway, here’s my first try.
I ran home and loaded 5 more but this time took 1 single kernel of powder out of the final charge and then I ended up with this group. I think the vertical is better but the horizontal is not.
I ran back home and this time I took some Flitz and honed the neck bushing to increase the diameter by 0.0000001”, or there abouts. Loaded up 5 more and completely ruined the vertical but the horizontal is better, I think.
So I ran back home to try something else but I forgot what I changed, or, maybe I changed 2 things. I can't remember. I’m tired and breathing hard from all the running back and forth so I let some sand out of my rear bag. It didn’t seem to help even though I read somewhere that it does.
I’m at my wits end. Any help will be appreciated.
