I know this an older thread but curious, what was your velocities from the RL26. I understand it's given the 6.5 creedmore alot of boost in velocity with the heavier 147s

140gr amax, 140gr hybrids, 140gr HVLD and 140gr accubond all shot great with 42hrs H-4350 .005 though off lands.

140 accubonds, 140gr HVLD's have same point of impact at 100 yards

Ruger 77 MkII 24" McGowen #2 Contour .297 nk
130 Accubond, WLR, Lapua .308 Brass necked down
45.9 H4831SC Estimated 2800-2840 Fps
2.805 (.010 off Lands, but is rather insensitive to COAL)
.350-.370 Three Shot Groups.

Savage 10 with shilen prefit 26" 130 berger ar hybrid. Peterson brass with cci br2 primer. 43.2grs H4350 2.220" CBTO -.010" avg velocity 2942 E.S of 4fps over 8 shots. .250" average 5 shot groups. Verified over 2 chronographs (magneto speed)

I just recently did a bit of testing with the 147, from my 24-inch, Criterion .260. I was able to push the 147 to over 2900, but had a bit of pressure sign. I started backing the load down and found that at 47.0 grains, with mag primers, it gave me a fairly moderate load at 2825 fps. This load is 100 fps faster than the max load of RE19 that I had loaded at 2724 fps. The bullets were loaded for an oal of 2.840, which functions fine in my magazine.

I went out to retest the scope adjustment yesterday. It was spot on with my prior adjustments and the last two shots I fired were at 300 yards. They were 1/4 inch apart. I quit while I was ahead!

130gn Berger AR hybrids.
26" Hardy MedVarmint Barrel
1:8 twist
42.5gn ADI 2209(roughly equivalent of H4350)
Seated to an OAL of 2.850 for Mag feeding.
<.5MOA from 3 shots

Just got a Remage McGowen barrel, Varm contour 24” threaded muzzle. Was lucky enough to hit an estate sale and picked up about 2k of Sierra and Hornady match bullets for not many dollars. Pretty geeked about getting it put together and getting some trigger time after the thaw.

Stock remington 700 VTR sold as 22" barrel ,but actually 20.5 cuz of muzzle break
Hornady 143 eldx with 46 gr. Rl22. Coal 2.315 inch's cci 200, neck sized hornady .264 neck die
.22"group @ 100yds
Estimated velocity 2650 range.
Blacktail hunting this side of cascades is thick n brushy anyway
Chronographed on 3-22-18 temperature low 40's 2640mv

Using 136 gr Lapua Scenars in my 24" 260 Rem .160 FB Criterion barrel, 1:8 twist, 46.5grs H4831SC, 260 lapua brass, and Wolf LR primer. Running at 2830 fps and shoots great all the way to 1100 yards.

Finally found a load for this, after trying several combinations:

Savage 12 BVSS ---> Shilen Select Match barrel, in .260 Rem. Match, 1 in 8" RH twist.

Nosler 140 RDF, seated at 2.795" COAL
Hornday 260 brass, run through the Giraud trimmer
Fed 210M primer
Win 760 @ 37.8 gr.

I have not chrono'd this load yet (waiting on my buddies chrono to be freed up); the recoil is light, and there are no pressure signs whatsoever. FWIW, Lee 2nd ed. manual has this listed as below the middle of the load range for this powder/bullet combo. Todays test @ 58º F shot at .2 MOA@ 100 yds., until I rolled the rifle on the rest during the 4th shot and opened it up to around .75. This will be my 300M load.

Sierra 140 HPBT, seated @ 2.785"
Federal Brass 308 necked down, neck turned, Giraud trimmed,
Fed 210M primer
Re-15 @ 38.5 gr.

This load is listed to be .1 gr above max, in the Lyman's 49th ed. The recoil is moderate, but it shoots @ .75 MOA @ 100 yds.

I'm hoping to work with some 123's very soon.

*ETA: All groups are 5 shot groups.
