Nosler RDF Bullets

I did get some more RDF's of a different lot. Now I have lots 1600 and 1832. I have data on 1600 and 1832 and 1832 does not look as tight as 1600. I have shot 1600 with good results, but I won't be shooting 1832 till after the holidays.

I'll be Baack!

I got a CBI remage on the way just to test these out. Stay on the lookout ill have a full review in the next month or so weather kinda sucks around here.

Still messing with the RDF Blems 6mm 105 gr I got a while back. Measured about 250 of them today (whew). Maybe I'll try them again when I get my bolt back as I sent it out to get the firing pin bushed.

Shot some 140s in my 6.5x47 at 100. Just dropped them in my go to berger hybrid load of 40.8 H4350. Tried them .015 and .030 off. Both were under .3 for 5 shots. Super easy to shoot. I'll have to run them at some distance to tell if a particular seating depth is any better. This was the first time I had loaded anything other than Berger in my 6.5 for 5 years. Initial results were very impressive and if it continues, no more $41/100 and pointing bullets for me.

Outstanding:cool:

Couldn't resist the allure of that high BC for my long range tactical matches. Ordered the 140gr 6.5. I have tried the Horn EldM, but they just don't shoot up to par in my rifle.

Tested new 147 eld out of 260AI. Very long throat. So this is safe only in my rifle. 47.3grs reloader 23 .025 off lands. CCI450 primers 2930fps 26" krieger 8 twist barrel. Now this is a hunting rifle off bipod. I have shot multiple groups @1000yards 2.5inch vertical by 5 inch horizontal. Yes these new bullets are very accurate and I am so glad there is more options now out there. Plus as stated cheaper than berger. I only hope that these RDF bullets are just as accurate. BC
is nice but accuracy trumps all. So keep it up nosler and hornady!!!!!

Buyem and tryem. That's all you can do. If the BC is huge, great. Don't mean anything till you punch paper with them. That's where the bull ends.

Was able to shoot the 140 RDF out to 600 yesterday with very good results. Tried .015 and .030 off the lands with my go to charge of 40.8 H4350 in 6.5x47. My old Hybrid load was .015 off. I certainly can't tell any difference in .015 off and .030 off. Both are very good with 1" vertical dispersion at 600. My teammate shot them in his Creedmoor at .030 off, same results and 1.5" group at 700 for 3 shots. Seems to me they are the real deal. We will be shooting them this year in our comps this year. I'm still a little leery just because I've been on the Berger wagon for so long but I really thing the Nosler is gonna be just fine.

I did an OCW using RL16 and 140 RDF, using a Savage Stealth. Any comments (target analysis) is appreciated.

If that's a creedmoor and your using H4350 - 42.9 has been my goto charge in that caliber since I first started shooting it in 2012. Between myself and a buddy, it's worked in every chamber we've done up.

It's a creedmoor, but it's Reloder 16.
Thanks on the tip on H4350. The same rifle I'm using in the test above likes 42.2 of H4350 with 143 grain Hornady ELD-X's

Tested the Nosler 105-RDF in a 6Dasher at 100yd for a zero, then at 1000yd for data.
LabRadar average for the 100 was 3040-fps for 3-shots.
LabRadar average for the 1000 was 3039-fps for 7-shots
23.25-MOA put them 3" high of bullseye at 1000yds (from a 5-shot group)
Elevation: 1325'
Temperature: 44-F
Scope Ht: 1.905"
8-twist Benchmark at 31"

Just threw a 105 Berger load of mine at them to give them a try. Shot them in a quartering tail-wind of +8-mph and they yielded potential to accuracy as well by my own standards and worthy of pursuit. Nice bullets !.!.!

You only lost 1 fps from 100 yards to 1000 yards?
