Anyone try the new Nosler 6mm 105gr RDF?

Looking for input from anyone that has tested the new Nosler target bullets. They are the 6mm 105gr RDF (Reduced Drag Factor).

I read an Outdoor Life Magazine article on them, but no tests were conducted by the staff. Just said that this is Nosler's most 'serious effort' yet at creating a quality bullet for precision shooters. Supposedly Nosler sent the bullets out to 'shooters' (unknown) around the country to verify their BC claims of G1@.571 and G7@.280 and they claim these BC numbers are conservative to the results they got back.

For roughly $26 per 100 street price, they seem pretty intriguing to me. What do you folks think?

The OL magazine article did also state that the new 'compound ogive' is supposed to make them much less sensitive to seating depth variations. That may be why your buddy found them easy to build a load with. Thanks for the info.

update...talked the guys that loved the first lot they got, got a new lot and couldnt get anything close to what they had before. Same with both new lots. Anyone else seeing/hearing this? I'll see if I can get lot numbers

I tried some, shortly after they became available. I could not get them to shoot with proven loads in my 6-284. But, they were blemished bullets and didn't really played around with them as barrel life is a concern in this particular cartridge.

I bought 200 of the early "Blems" and found they shot better than the Hybrids I had been using! Bought 1000 more and found they varied slightly unit to unit than the first batch but still acceptable! I liked them enough to use them in the NBRSA national 600/1000 yd match next week!

By the way, after careful measuring, I found the base does not extend into the case as far as the Hybrids. I calculated the difference allowing for the same jump as the hybrids and from QL found I needed slightly more powder due to higher effective case volume. I'm a happy camper!
