Remember that too cool will produce condensation. Jerry Hensler use a pump to run mineral spirits through his barrel many years ago. He used a 12V lawn mower battery. It worked very well.
This gives me an idea for my "bug vac" and "modified" cases we all have. PM me if you want more info. I don't way @bsumoba threatening me with lawyers. That would be the end of his business.
You would hear from "the original barrel cooler" guys I suspect, not from me, as they also claim to be patent pending. I have no intentions on contacting people who have a vastly different product. Carry on with your "idea".
Our product was introduced to the shooting community well before theirs and ours looks nothing like theirs. The idea of barrel coolers is not patentable. The combination of a barrel cooling apparatus and chamber flag we believe, is patentable (as well as other things that made BarrelCool unique) and we expect our patent to be issued anytime now.
I am more disappointed in the fact that he set off to ask for a free BarrelCool unit to review, and based on his claims, had an idea brewing or in the works that is similar to BarrelCool at the time he asked for a unit for free to review. It would have been better if he bought it outright and not make it look like he was just a consumer product reviewer, but in reality he was a prospective competitor, who was close to going to market with his own product. If that is how he treats all products he asks for samples of and review, then I guess we all should beware . Then, he takes that free unit and calls it the competitor and shows it on a youtube video and make claims that his is better, despite never posting data showing faster barrel cooling times, or actual battery life tests, which is the real data to show. That would be objective data we all want to see. Output from a fan (as he shows on his video) does not necessarily mean it is better at cooling, especially if it is not applied properly.
The key idea which I believe he used, or at minimum incorporated into his product that we came to market first with, is the combination of a cooling apparatus and chamber flag in one. Even if we had the same idea at the same time, it is who gets to market first and who has the patents and documentation to prove it and protect that IP.
Call it what you will whether it is a prototype or a finished consumer product, but if you decide to make a website to take preorders and make a youtube video and product page, that is selling and marketing the product. You mentioned he intended for this product to not be commericial. Everything he did says commerical. He mentioned on his site, which is now not there that he would be selling only 100 units, but in the FAQ, says that it is essentially to feel the market out and of there is enough interest, decide to pursue this product further. Lol. That doesn't sound like a one time production run of 100 units.
As I have offered before, you are welcome to discuss this matter with me in private. There's no need to visit my website and YouTube page and leave disparaging remarks in the comments.
I did in fact review the product you sent me, as we agreed. It was published to over 4000 Facebook page fans, and sent to over 6000 subscribers. It also resulted in 1032 referrals to your website from our online article.
As for Chamber Chiller, it is not marketed as a chamber flag; It's simply a barrel cooler painted the same color as a common NRA open barrel indicator. If you would like to compare Chamber Chiller to your BarrelCool product in a comparison test, I openly welcome the idea.
I doubt I will hear from anyone. A "bug vac" with a hose on it is not a "product".You would hear from "the original barrel cooler" guys I suspect, not from me, as they also claim to be patent pending. @bsumoba , I have no problem with you protecting your IP. It's how you do it.Lastly, even if we had the same idea at the same time, it is who gets to market first and who has the patents and documentation to prove it and protect that IP.
I forgot, my idea sucks. A "Barrel Cool" blows.I doubt I will hear from anyone. A "bug vac" with a hose on it is not a "product".

So what is your point of copying my signature over and over as your comment?
Now, why would you say this on your site..."Each Chamber Chiller rifle barrel cooling fan prototype receives a bright-yellow painted finish, the same color as NRA open bolt indicator chamber flags" if you weren't intending for it to serve as a NRA open bolt indicator? You could have simply kept it black and saved on product costs and labor.
Why not just use a tube attached to the blower and have that directing the air into the chamber? It would save costs for 3D printing and off-the-shelf tubes are cheap. The answer is, it WAS intended to act like a chamber flag and to reside around the ejection port, like BarrelCool. The premise for coming up with BarrelCool was the idea that you could use it during cease fires and in matches and ranges where empty chamber flags are required. Making it black would not satisfy the NRA requirement.
How can you say that is was not marketed as a chamber flag?
On a side note, we were actually very happy with your review and thought it was very well written.
Yes, compact, serves as a ECI so can be brought to the firing position and inserted once a string is completed and the rifle can be moved without disassembling a cooler to move it off the line. Other than that, I see none. I have a couple of Barrel-Cool devices...they work well. I shoot F-class.Any advantage with these over a portable 12 volt air toy pump with a bit of tubing attached to the nozzle?
Chamber Chiller comes in one of three finishes, selected by the person reserving a unit. I paint them yellow by default, since that's the same color as all NRA chamber flags. Are you now claiming that your device has a patent on the color of a chamber flag that's existed for decades?
Wow. What happened to securing market share through delivering superior product performance, value & service?
Awe, little butch wants a war. Misspelling my name as a form of insult. Well, that is what 6 year olds do.Read again semen, I only did it one time to remind you of your own message-Good enough?
I bought one.We believe we have a great product that has been documented or expressed to us, to cool barrels down in many cases, more than half the time versus doing nothing. This was what we saw when doing cooling test during the R&D process. Battery life is typically in the 6-9 hour range and CR123A batteries are starting to come down in cost dramatically. We sell them at just over a dollar per unit and BarrelCool takes 3 of them.
We expect that with sustained use, shooters will see an increase in barrel life, and hopefully an increase in accuracy as a result of keeping throat erosion down because less shots are taken in a hot barrel, and barrel heat is what kills barrels. That will also hopefully result in long term savings because barrels can retain competition accuracy over more shots, which means less barrels needing to be replaced.
Not to mention, you are practicing, with our product, safety on the range while cooling your barrel down. The best times to cool your barrel down are in most cases, during cease fires or between strings of fire, where a chamber flag is required. Even if your local range or match does not enforce chamber flags, it is the best practice in my opinion because it makes everyone around you aware that you have a gun in a safe condition and can be identified from a good distance away, that the gun is safe
IMO @bsumoba does not believe in quality product, he believes in making excuses or saying it works for him. Then calling a lawyer before conversing with someone who built a better mouse trap.Wow. What happened to securing market share through delivering superior product performance, value & service?
