I have found that some of the match bullets don't open up too well. I had crawlers so I just went to a 70 grain Sierra and a 75 Vmax. No more crawlers. No real difference in groups either...at least none a chuck ever complained of.

In a 14 tw 6BR I like 70 gr Blitz King. I have had one shot kills out to 650 yds. In a 12 tw and faster I like a 87gr Vamx. The 87Vamx is the best 6mm varmint bullet made. It hit like a lighting bolt. I hit a GH at 500yds with a 6 BR run around 3250 f/s. At the hit, it pulled the GH out of the hole, and fliped 3 feet in the air DRT.

I agree with everything mark said above the 75 and 87 vmax are the best bullet going for the 6's

I have 800+ Yrd kills with both bullets from my 6 AI but past 500 the 87 shines

The 87gr Vmax is to the 6br as the 53gr Vmax is to the 22 dasher. It's a hog exploding bullet. Personally if they didn't make the 105 Amax I would run nothing but the 87gr Vmax. After the 500yd mark, the bullet speed vs. Rpm is high enough to pull a hog off the mound without the bullet exiting in multiple pieces. Also I would run an 8 twist for the extra rpm, which translates into more centrifugal force in the jacket which makes for more humane kills.

+1. I run the 87 vmax in my 12 tw br and 8 tw dasher. I've tried them all and IMO, the 87 vmax is the best 6 mm varmint bullet. Pretty good BC too. I don't like how the lighter bullets don't always exit. And the heavier bullets don't do enough damage for my liking.

I have a 6BR 14 twist 26" Krieger barrel. I can not shoot anything heavier than 70 gr bullets. Just to keep things simple I settled on 58 VMax, 65 VMax and Sierra 70 Blitz King bullets. All three are explosive at any distance. The 58 VMax at 3550 fps is by far my most consistent for small groups. They all work well out to 400 yards. I seldom shoot more than 350 yards. Not many big fields where I hunt. All three shoot groups under 0.400". If I bought a new barrel it might be a 12 twist.

+1 on the 105 A-max. I realize that this isn't the OP's question, so sorry for derailing. However, if your gun will stabilize, I highly recommend. I built a 8 twist 6BR this year, and got about 30 shots on groundhogs, from 50-775 yards, and only had two that required a follow up shot. From my limited experience, any (excluding appendages) will VERY likely be a kill.

+++ to all that praise the 75 & 87 V-Max. I've run them in my 6AR/T40 and 6 Hagar and 6SLR. When the wind is blowing..which is most of the time, the 87's outshine the 75's. The T40 was my favorite but the Hagar has stolen that slot with the 87's and suppressor. It's almost criminal watching how things literally unfold. I end up laughing so hard I almost chuck a lung!! The 87 Hornady BTHP's are a close competitor as well. Eric in DL
