6 mm dasher

Been shooting my friend Don "DJ" Jones XP-100 in his 6 DJ at prairie dogs for 20 years. It's a BR case, shoulder blown forward .070" and 40 degree. We shoot 55 to 68 Gr. bullets through a 14 twist barrel that is 19" long. He also has a 22 version as well as a 25 version. Awesome PD killer.

6 mm dasher for ground hogs, what twist for 70 to 80 grain bullets .how fas would they be?

I have been shootin a Dasher for a couple years in 600 yard competition, Berger 108 gr, 1 in 8 twist, Varget very accurate @3000 FPS.
Big bullets = less drift in the wind. I have heard of some shooters flying 115 gr bullets in 1 in 7.5 twist barrels in a Dasher.
Good Luck

I shoot a BR-DX which is very close to a Dasher and with a 28 inch 8 twist a caseful of Varget will push the 68 gr bullets at 3575 and I have shot Benchmark at 3640 but accuracy was better with the Varget load,,I have heard that H335 shoots the 55-60 gr bullets really fast but I never tried anything lighter than the 68s,,

if you are doing a new bbl and want to shoot light bullets I would go with a straight 6BR and use a 12 twist,,
