That'll never happen. The only thing these idiots in office now will ever agree on is disagreeing.

It has been amended 17 times. We have to be very careful about changing this thing. It is my understanding that once the process to change the Constitution gets approved, anything and everything can be changed by majority of political vote.. In the times we are in, I don't want to think about what that might mean, but I get your good intention.

I believe the best strategy is for us to put pressure on the NSSF and the NRA to challenge the DDTC on their interpretation. If Chuck is being truthful, then it sounds like the NSSF dropped the ball. Regardless, it sounds like there is an line of communication in place that perhaps can straighten this out.
I called the DDTC this morning and talked to a gentleman named chuck( I forget his last name). Long story short he said the NSSF was the main group asking for clarification on the DDTC rules. Chuck also said that the NSSF did not reply to this new letter ( 22 c.f.r. 122.1). So the DDTC left it a lone.
The ATF really has no say in the matter. They are extremely limited.Kyle I agree we definitely need to put pressure on the NSSF and the ATF along with our representatives.
Like JRS said ATF has no horse in this race. Specifically we need to put pressure on Congress and the DDTC. NSSF is worth calling but we need to call the DDTC every day and our representatives frequently.Kyle I agree we definitely need to put pressure on the NSSF and the ATF along with our representatives.

Perhaps another million man march? I seriously doubt we would persuade that many gun owners to get off their couch to do that!Fellows,
That was not a picture of the constitution that I posted. It was the Declaration of Independence, which states, in part, (with emphasis added in bold):
"Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security."
How we do this.......I don't exactly know but we do need to put an end to the corruption someway and tolerating those that allow unconstitutional measures to be implemented and voting at rigged polls ain't gonna get it done.
That's a novel approach, but its going to take more than email, phone calls and footlockers to change anything. Its going to require warm bodies. A show of force, if you will. This is post from the ATF stock piling information thread, but it applies to this thread even more:
We can all argue until we're blue in the face or preach to the choir. Our government is at an all time high in corruption at all levels from small townships on up. We are an the edge of being beaten by the anti gun agenda. If not by Hillary then some time in fairly near future by some one else. Death by a thousand cuts. So what are you going to do about it? If everyone here, my self included, spent 1% as much time doing something about it as we do being pissed off we CAN make changes. If we ALL make an effort to spend even 10 minutes a week making phone calls or writing letters it would probably be a 100,000% increase in our presence and that is power for us. Look at the black lives matter and the lbgt community. In reality pretty small groups. A lot smaller than us but look what they accomplish because they get off their arse and DO something! If we want to keep the second amendment alive, it's time for all of us to get off our arses and do something. How many of us will make a phone call or send a letter today and then stick with it next week and so on. I've got phone calls to make, I hope you do too.
I don't care what you do, as long as you DO something to help. Your in the NE, great. Either organize something today or this week in your area or join up with those ACTIVELY doing something. This is for everyone! That's a novel approach, but its going to take more than email, phone calls and footlockers to change anything. Its going to require warm bodies. A show of force, if you will.
Here's a link to the Board of Governors of the NSSF.

These people all have a vested interest in maintaining a functioning firearms industry.
The Chairman of the NSSF is Robert Scott, who is the Vice-Chairman of Smith and Wesson. The Co-Chairman of NSSF is Stephen Hornady, who is the President of Hornady Manufacturing.
If you want to have the DDTC ruling amended, put pressure on these gentlemen. Here's a link on how to contact Hornady.

I suggest you contact those you pay (if you are an NRA member) to get off their duffs and earn the money we put into their pockets. If they want to pay me, as they do the politicians, to organize for them, I will gladly do so. The NRA isn't paying me to do their bidding, and I don't work free of charge. I would, however, be happy to play the part of an organizer if they are willing to provide me with a wage comparable (seven figures) to their leader…. Pepe La Pew. Talking the talk without walking the walk will get you nowhere.I don't care what you do, as long as you DO something to help. Your in the NE, great. I appreciate your NRA membership and any donations but I don't think keeping your eggs all in one basket is very good idea just because you think you bought the hen.I suggest you contact those you pay (if you are an NRA member) to get off their duffs and earn the money we put into their pockets.
