What about a 1 in 13 twist? Has it been tried? Barlow
Keep us informed. BarlowI've got a bartlein being chambered as we speak for a 222 in 13 tw..It was all I could really find at the time when I was barrel hunting for a 14 tw. Im hoping it will be close enough to the 14tw in terms if velocity and should be easily able to handle the 52-53 gn bullets.
VV N133 has shot very well in the last two .222's I have messed with. Makes 'em go too. 3300+ is not a problem with 52 grain Bergers or Barts.my mistake my H322 load is 22.2 was 22.0 and my H 335 load is now 24,3 was 24.o the rifle shoots better as the loads go up--Gary
Yes and I do love my little 722 222Ain't the Duece fun? I love mine

I have taken 40x 222 pd shooting on occasion using Sierra 50 blitz (flat base) and 4198 - dogs did not know the difference
I also took the same rifle with some 55gr blitz flat base (wanted to use them up) and in the 14 twist, again the pd did not know the diff.
if you are in comp, the 14 twist and 52/53 gr Sierra are perfect.
