Is there a reason for limiting yourself to ONLY those 2 actions?Which would you choose thinking about a new build will be a 6BR variant BRDX- Dasher-BRX
For heavy bullets 105 to 108, I like the longer neck on the BRDX![]()
Yeah I already have two Bats and a Raven Leonard Baity made for me just like to try some thing different. Is there a reason for limiting yourself to ONLY those 2 actions?
I understand completely! I am constantly being "bit" by the "I want something different" bug.. One of the BEST moves I made was to get 2 of the Pierce Short Actions. Smooth as silk, Remington clone, easy to get stocks for. I use one for a Dasher and one for a 6.5 x 47 Lapua. Perfect size for those cartridges. They are EXCELLENT actions for considerably less than a Kelbly or BAT.. I have 2 Kelbly's and a BAT too>>>so I know how excellent they are! Just some food for thought for you..Yeah I already have two Bats and a Raven Leonard Baity made for me just like to try some thing different.

Jim Borden.![]()
Both Great. I lean to the Jim Borden side.. Tommy Mc..Which would you choose thinking about a new build will be a 6BR variant BRDX- Dasher-BRX

This would be for Benchrest-600 yard.
b-dale,,,,,since you asked,,, I have shot Stolle actions since the 70's and have seen a lot of others come and go,but none ever better,,,,they are light allowing you to put the weight in a "big" scope and barrel that will help with accuracy,,,the recoil lug is Integral (no pinned blade type lug) the scope base is integral (no additional parts to purchase or come loose !!) and any competent gunsmith can chamber a bbl for it without the action beeing sent to him,,,(you dont loose your rifle for months at the shop) bbls will swap/interchange between actions without headspace issues,,,and if you ever become familiar with the Kelbly family orgizanation and their long history of service to the shooting community you will never have any question about where to buy/shop or deal,,,,Roger
PS,,,the Panda/Kodiak/Grizzly actions are smooth as silk also ,,especially with the static ejector which give you the choice of ejecting the spent round or leaving it in the action to be withdrawn manually,,,,pretty nice!!!
