So this means the corp is being forced to disolve, and liquidate by the state but it doesnt say how they will pay their creditors or if they will be filing bankruptcy or not. I would expect the letter was just a formality and their won't be enough left to pay any subscribers anyway. I think subscribers are a ways down the totem pole from other secured creditors but dont know for sure. I wonder how the most recent owners came out in the deal. Anyway got my letter but I was only an annual member so didnt lose much. I dont have life memberships in anything except the NRA in large part because I am leery of this very kind of thing happening.I was not a Life Member , but visited their Headquarters at both sites in Pierre , S.D. ...... many times over the years . Those visits were very pleasant and informative as were the VHA Staff . Some of you will remember the very large series of Custom Varmint Rifles built over the years ( to show-case the various Gunsmiths ) and featured and tested in the Magazine . I don't know for certain , but I think they all ended up at VHA . I looked many of them over on my visits , and they were really, really nice . I often wonder who ended up with them .
Main thing that gets my goat is the way they folded up overnight basically rolling up the carpet and turning the lights out. I sent them a check for 2 year renewal last April then found out they went under. I wonder how Jeff and Jacquie Rheborg can even look in the mirror!? No notice or anything from them! Really Pi$$es me off! Frank
Got my letter the other day was not a life member but for 2bucks its not worth it.But I do miss magazineI was a life member for along time , and to answer the one question the gentleman asked . Yes Varmint Hunter Magazine was the publication of the VHA .
