I shoot a 22BR with a 252 neck and use a 249 bushing. I did about a 75-80 cleanup (neck turn) on this brass. Most people I know that fire form 6 Dasher/BRX brass turn the necks to create the false shoulder and than use whatever bushing it takes to get a .002-3 neck tension on the bullet seated into the lands. You could turn the neck down to the wall thickness you want, seat a bullet and see if you can close the bolt. If you can close the bolt, measure the diameter of the neck area and go .002 smaller than that measurement. You might need bushings on either side of what you buy in case your chamber likes a little more or less neck tension.
Hope to visiting your beautiful country this year. I have a daughter that teaches grade school in Auckland. Cheers
For the neck down process I neck down with a non-bushing .249 neck diameter. Once it is fire formed I use a standard .249 bushing die. I do not neck turn them. My blow lengths are 1.560".
