California gun laws and Accurate Shooting

I have stayed out of this thread, but I have to point out something you said.

You can't legally buy ammo in another state and bring it back. There is no customs station at the border, however.

This is coming to your state you can bet on that and what is one of the first things Hilter did. Guns, and papers to go anywhere and do anything. This is coming to state near you!!

Sorry but I will not say anymore. I believe this thread should have been closed long ago. I was told earlier that I was too hostile towards a new member of 4-5 months that was bitchen about nothing. I do believe you have a real rant.

If you guys think Cal. is bad come to Ct..
No ammo with out proper ID cards ( ccw, ammo card or long rifle card). No ARs period unless pre ban and registered can't bring one in from other state or out if you move. No magazines over 10 rounds unless pre ban & registered and the list goes on.
I know MOVE and if I was in better health and not taking care of mother ( 96 years young with severe dementia ) I would be gone.
The law makers had severe case of knee jerk after Sandy Hook and it keeps getting worse, but every day in the paper there are articles of criminals be arrested for weapon charges and drugs and then they get released to do it again. Catch 22.

p.s. almost forgot now all guns have to be locked up when not in use no matter where you store them, and no working on them at home or assembling one for your own use.

To my point earlier, you can not only have concern in what affects you. Every move is a wedge.
2A was not written in subsections, to sporting, defense, hunting, or whatever.
Greasy politicians can not be abled to chip away at it, as such, because the "newest ban" doesn't apply to your interests.
Be it bump stocks, extended magazines, suppressors, ammo..., whatever, the 2A gives the right to keep and bear arms, and not Congress to decide How Much.
You might want to read this so you are more informed on what is permissible and what might not be.

I lived in California for a year, back in the Seventies. I remember the “mantra” most people there were proud of back then. Over the years, I’ve watched events unfold and seen some truth in that old saying.
“California is ten years ahead of the rest of the country.”

What was the point of this post? California is all sun shine rainbows even for shooters?

I agree with what @rr2030 said. Just flood the state with all kinds of guns, parts, and ammo. Just overwhelm them and have their stupid system fail.

I don’t know about you but I still enjoy going into wal Mart or ace hardware and picking up a box or two of ammo without an FFL...

Would someone please clarify this for me? The way I understand it, a calif. Resident cannot go out of state and buy ammo and bring it back into the state. Can a non-resident, (competitive shooter or hunter) legally bring in all the ammo he wants into the state for his own use or does he have to buy his ammo in the state? Thanks, Dan
I just ordered some ammo from out of state ,no problem SO FAR?

It sure would help. In the past three months I have submitted two simple forms to the Department Of Justice. The first form was to get a list of the firearms that are registered to me. Second list, sent a month later was to register a 1911, that may already be registered to me, re-registered to me so I can put it on my CCW. I sent the second form in because the DOJ is so flooded with firearms related paperwork they wont answer the phone, you just get the message that they are months behind and there is nothing you can do but wait. So I have no way of knowing how long it will be until I receive an answer to my forms. Thats why I just re-registered the first firearm I brought to CA when I moved here.

Everyone refusing to do business with CA is not screwing CA, they are screwing their fellow gun owners and fellow competitors.

It's just a matter of time before bolt guns have to be registered and heavily regulated with storage rules and ammunition amount caps.

If you are a law abiding bolt gun shooter and you do not stand up to the state banning firearms and accessories that don't address your hobby, then shame on you, for you are turning a blind eye to something you know is wrong. And when it's your turn to sacrifice your freedoms, there will be no one left to stand up with you.

All other freedoms are enjoyed all over this planet in many countries, but the USA is the place that has the freedom to keep and bare arms. Once you loose your 2nd Amendment, you became no different than say Britain or France or any other western country.

Ahhh, but your evil multi color SNIPER scoped rifle capable of killing a child holding a puppy at 2 miles will not be safe either.

If libs were smart enough to compare M16 shot/kill ratio and compare it to an M40 sniper rifle shot/kill ratio, bolt guns would have been banned during Vietnam!

.
Agreed it’s just giving the antis exactly what they wanted.

And you really think me shipping a gun to California is going to help y’all?? If everyone on this site shipped one nothing would change. Only voters over there can change things. Good luck.
If you really think it will help. I’ll be the first to volunteer. I have a Viper drop port with 3 barrels and 2 bolts I’ll sell to a Californium for 3 grand plus shipping.
