I have a few Bighorns, pre Zermatt, when they were locally made. I won't ever get rid of them. They did make some single shot actions with cone bolts, I've shot one. Don't know how many are out there floating around. All mine wear Jewells. I have a few Kelbly's, and a Barnard. The TL2 is my favorite. Call Zermatt and see if they can hook you up. Great folks to deal with.

Yes I built a 6BR with one of their single shot actions from NSS. You can drop a round in front of the bolt and close it effortlessly with perfect feeding every time. Theres no need for a follower with this action. I have a Jewel trigger installed and have never had an issue with a miss fires like others have stated. I would build another one identical if I ever needed another.

For single feed on my TL3 - with a stock meant for single feed - I just 3D printed a little tray and stuck it in with some plumbers goop. In and out they go. Getting ready to make it a little longer for my new TL3 LA.

I have a customer that likes the tl3s and wanted bench guns built on them. Yes, they need the cocking ramp recut and timing work. The stock pin fall is enough to go bang but not for benchrest accuracy. The extractor needs a little slicking up to function smooth as a single shot. They were very smooth actions after the work was done. As smooth as they opened with the new ramp Im not sure why they didnt just do that from the get go.

Will a Remington Single Shot Follower Glue in one of these Actions ?

I own two single shot TL3 actions, one in a LA & one in a SA. For a hunting rifle, I really like option of pre-fit shouldered barrels or small shank Savage threaded barrels that I can install myself.
