Yard sale gold

The rifle pictured below was purchased at a yard sale. It was purchased by a friend and it shot so well that I traded for it. When I got it was barreled with a Krieger 6mm PPC and I added a Krieger 6mm Dasher. It is a Stiller Cobra and I don't know the stock maker, but I know that it shoots very well with both barrels. Buddy Graham of Baton Rouge once said if you can't shoot well, always have a good looking rifle. I can't shoot all that well, so I had to have it painted (local auto body shop). The rifle has competed in three matches 1) A 100/200/330/415 yard match for score 2) 600 yard match 3) 300 yard match. It finished 1,1, and 3rd. Not bad for a yard sale rifle with an old worn out shooter.

You never know what you will get at a yard sale. I picked up 5 .32 S&W Long Magazines for a Bullseye Pistol I have, that when you can find them sell for $200 to $300 each, for a total of $25.00

32SWL semi-auto... Pardini, Walther, FAS, Match Guns; can't think of too many others.

A new magazine for my Pardini looks like it's retailing at around $90.

OOPS! I forgot one 600 yard match. I also finished third in it. Two of the above matches were with the PPC and two with the Dasher. We are having a 300 yard match this Saturday and I hope we don't have the cold wind that we had last time....the PPC and its 68 grain bullets get blown around in the cold wind.

Here are the ones I had. The blue one was a shooter.

I would like to know what this yard sale find cost. You don't seem to see too many Cobra actions and I know I am not letting go of mine.
The rifle without a barrel was $700. The used PPC barrel cost $65. That was before I traded for it. I bought the 6mm Dasher barrel from Bugholes. Also, I paid $100 to get it painted, and Dusty Stevens did a wonderful job chambering the Dasher barrel.

^^^Wow!! That was definitely the deal of the day and maybe the year. My Cobra looks just like the bottom one in the pic liljoe posted. Possibly the same one?

i need to start going to more garage sales around here!!! I would wager though that not one of those actions is owned in my county.

I sold it at the super shoot about 10 years ago. Don't remember who bought it. It was a true heavy varmint gun.

My first center fire rifle was a sporterized Mosin in 7.62x54 that I got in a yard sale for $10 in 1971
