XR-100 Stock Options

I have a couple Remington XR-100 rifles with the factory thumbhole stock. What options are there for a synthetic non thumbhole replacement. I emailed HS Precision and they said they didn't have anything then I emailed McMillan and they said it was a rem 700 action so they could do it (it is not). If i'm not mistaken it the same as a model seven action so would a model seven in ADL configuration and heavy barrel work or possibly a model seven bdl with just using a bdl floor plate work assuming someone makes them for a varmint barrel contour?

Thanks

Any Model 7 stock will work but the heavy barrel complicates it. I read on Saubier where a guy used one of these:

You have to add the bottom hinged floorplate though. A good place to stash your lunch money...

I thought about it for mine but another $500 hurts.

That's what i've been thinking of but those darn model seven bottom metals are insane. I thought at one time HS offered it in the adl version but can't seam to find it.

Thanks

I have ordered F-Class stocks from McMillan for these actions. I have my doubts though that Remington made these actions because they are so good BTW.

I see McMillan does do a varmint and tactical hunter stock for the model 7 with options that will work. The HS stock would work as well but it's a little short at 28" OAL which would make that 26" barrel look a little long. I'll have to stop by McMillan since they are local and make sure i'm on the right track.

Manners has what you need of you want to spend money. I have a XR100 on a Model SEVEN B&C stock with the BDL bottom metal. It works just fine.

How much material is left in the forend after opening it up to the varmint barrel? Is the forend long enough to make barrel not look extremely out of proportion? McMillan will run about $600 if figured it right, that times 2 would hurt.

Thanks
