XP 100 6mm Dasher load info needed

I just did a 19"SS HV 1-14 on a XP center grip. Does anyone have any load ideas for 55-75 gr varmint loads. Also does anyone know of a good rear grip in wood or glass, I saw Russo's lam. they look good.

Thanks
Glenn

Post some pics of the XP!

Russo makes a very nice looking laminated stock. His stocks are based off HS Precision.

8208 may work ok with lighter bullets.

I shot some 65 & 58 V-M's with 2015, it shot great.Used 34gr with the 65 and a full case with the 58, 3500& 3750 fps. I needed my forearm sled and a better rear bag that I did not bring. I used a rifle scope a 6-18, that was a a little weird with the center grip and unstable rest. Looking for a rear grip and a better scope, Burris has a 4-12, that looks like it. Maybe a Russo rear grip.

Thanks
Glenn

I use a Sinclair 3" adapter on the front of my stock and shoot on a mechanical rest. The rear bag is a Protektor. The scope is a Leupold 8.5-25LRT, which provides very generous eye relief. I've been able to shoot tiny groups with this setup.

I have a sled like that and a smaller black one. I may make a custom one to mount with 2 screws or a pin and a screw, with out the wings on the side. It should slide in the bag better. I do have that same scope, may try it. Have you tried or seen the Burris handgun 4-12 with the B plex? Shot some today with the sled and a brick bag in the rear, like a rifle, 3800 with 50gr BK and 2015. Wish I knew how to post pictures, just not that good with these things.

XP 100 bench rest rear grip stock with 3" wide forearm

Glen, I'd call McMillan ask for Dick, I'd bet he would let you purchase one these excellent rear grip stocks, that is if he still has the mold set up. I added a second stock to my order about two weeks ago. 6BR member Mike Janes "varmints" put this group buy together for us specialty pistol shooters. We owe Mike our thanks for all his hard work. Look at "varmints" old posts and you'll see all the information needed to help you make a informed decision.

Thanks, I have been dealing with Dick & buying from McMillian for years. I was going to call him Monday.

Where did you get the stock that's on it now? My dad has an original fireball with the skinny barrel and he'd love to have some fancy wood for it.

That is Ridgeway's gun. I have a center grip McMillian. You can go to Russo's stocks he has some nice ones. http://www.russoriflestocks.com/

Larry...the stock is an old George Peterson stock. The son, George still does stocks, but not sure if he does XP's or not.

The wood is California English walnut, cut in the 70's. The grip cap is Ebony, and the white spacer is Holly.
