xp-100 221 fireball loads

just aquired an xp100 in 221 fireball. anyone still shoot one of these? any pet loads for it they recommend? ive never shot one but hear they can shoot quite well.

i have had a number of them, converted some to 15" bbl and 222, as well as 7br,6br etc

the std 10" bbl of the 221 keeps you in the fast powder group, also light to medium weight bullets are the best as the short bbl limits the twist completion the bullet gets as it is a 12" twist.

i had tried RL 7 but found it too slow for the short bbl to give good results, 4227 and 4198 are my favorites, 1680 is fair but temp sensitive and pressures upfast.

For conspiracy theorist trivia, it was supposedly the XP 100 in 221 Fireball that was used to shoot Kennedy, from the grassy knoll but also possibly from a curbside gutter opening along his motorcade route, the shot was fired from the front, and as such was the "killing" shot that entered the frontol lobe abd exited thru the back of his head. Just some Sunday morning worthless information that I gleaned from the Theorists conjecture that Oswald was not the assassin. Found this when I was googling 221 fireball before I bot one five years ago.
