Looking, but I can't find a pelican case that will fit a 56" long rifle. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. Do you have the model number of a pelican case that will fit?

I don't see any of these being over 50.50 inches looking at inside dimensions (the Storm, the others are less than 45). Maybe Pelicans website is wrong

The multiple pelicans I own compared to my sample size of one explore case. Which one of those pelican cases do you think would be better for a 56” long gun? How about for next year when it will be 58”?

Solid cabinet grade plywood with some cool joints and maybe formica on it. Id be in on one. I paid a truckload for some railgun boxes from a cabinet guy made from the best stain grade wood he could get- and everybody wants some just like em when i take them to a match
My stuff gets banged around pretty good sometimes, otherwise I’d considered making one out of some nice old barn boards

I fly with fair frequency when it comes to matches, I just don't have the time or the desire to drive some of those distances to far off lands...
The push for longer barrels and stocks has become a real issue for many competitors so longer hard cases are now a necessity which a couple of manufacturers have moved up in priority. From Geno C's post:

Sucks they busted your case! FedEx managed to bust one of the latches on mine. Lifetime warranty also. I emailed their customer service dept and let them know what happened and send a couple pictures. The guy at explorer apologized for the problem and stated that is was a non stocked part but he would order one from Italy right away. About a week later he emailed me again stating that the latch and new pin were in and he would ship it out to me. No problems and no hassle.
