X-caliber barrels?

Does anyone have anything good/bad to say about them?

I've got 2, a 223 and 204R, both SS, 24" threaded, on savage 12 actions. Both shoot very well, easy to clean. No complaints about them, it's better/cheaper to order when they have the 20% or more off sales, which they have going on now IIRC.

I've had three - all shot sub moa. I did try to further fine tune the load.

I have a remage 20" .308 i shoot suppressed hunting. That thing shoots great.

I have a 28" AR in 6mm Grendel/AR/ARC/LBC shoots 1/4 MOA with handloads if i do my part.

I'm assuming that means they make their own barrels.

They are "Not" Wilson blanks, a better barrel than a Wilson.

Ive used a few of them.My 33XC never shot worth a damn. My 300 RUM Ackley Improved is a Lazer. I dont think their 6 groove 338 caliber barrels shoot good at all. They sure are not concentric. Ive had 3.. And three Duds. I went back to Bartlein and it shoots great.Same Reamer and same gunsmith.That just my experiencve with 338 caliber. Like I said my 30 cal is a lazer. This is my opinon as well as Frank and Quarter Minute Magnum..Even groove like 6 groove dont shoot well with 338 caliber.Thats my experience and then I heard 3 other gunsmiths say say thing. I think Xcaliber barrels are ok.Its just the 6 groove Ive bought.Take it for what its worth.

Thanks everybody. Their 20% off sale looks like a good time to buy which is why I asked. Not for serious target rifles, a groundhog rifle & a fun gun, so hopefully they work out.

I have two of their barrels on varmit rigs and both hammer pretty well.

Several friends tried them. Some drove tacs, others not so much. Personally, I wont risk trying to save a $100 on a possibility questionable barrel in today's world. At the cost of components these days your potential savings are gone very quickly trying to work up a good load. Assuming you can at all. Just my take on it.

I have several friends that can't say enough good about them; one is (was?) a sponsored shooter and got me a discount on a pre-fit .300PRC barrel for my Sav 110FCP. I'll be the first to admit I'm not the most experienced when it comes to magnums in general... but I've had to work awfully hard for pretty mediocre results, using very good components. More than once, I've lost interest and moved on to something else. Periodically I'll run out of other stuff - well, more like I'm *avoiding* some other project - and will dust it off and try again.

X-Caliber are excellent barrels. Have 3 of them in 22, 6mm and 6.5 Creedmoor. My go to bbl for any AR platform.

Just ordered a 7mm-08 AR barrel and bolt. Now for the 2-1/2 month wait according to their site.

I have one Excalibur barrel chambered in 30-06 and it’s a good shooter.
