hi everyone...
i went out yesterday to try out some handloads on my 22-250 and i am curious what you all might think about the results.
the loads were all with 2 times fired hornady brass and the powder was reloader 15. the charge weights started at at 33.4 grains and went up in .4 grain increments to and at 36.6 grains. the bullets were weight sorted SBK's.
group 1 33.4 grains, .8330" ctc
group 2 33.8 grains, .7575" ctc
group 3 34.2 grains, .5680" ctc
group 4 34.6 grains, 1.1740" ctc
group 5 35.0 grains, .9730" ctc
group 6 35.4 grains, .3405" ctc ---------node start?
group 7 35.8 grains, .4220" ctc----------node end??
group 8 36.2 grains, .8495" ctc
what do you think??? is this likely an accuracy node? should i repeat the test or just try loads with charges ranging from say 34.2 to maybe 34.8 (in the node area)??? opinions are very welcome. thank you.
