I hope there is room to add targets to the High Power range. 20 is great for local stuff, but small if you want to run regional events.

Also the Smallbore range is only 10 points 50yds. Just for plinking at that size.

A High Power range with 20 firing points would be as large as any in Colorado. I think Colorado Rifle club has that many. Holding a Regional or State Championship would not be an issue with 4 or five relays. A National Championship, however even with electronic targets would be a stretch. Once the range is complete we will have a better idea of it's capacity as parking and logistical support also factor into a large match. Finding the individuals and/or Club to host a large match will also be necessary.

Hi. I'm commenting from Salem, OR. I have a strong interest in the Cameo Shooting Complex and really proud to tell you that my son was recently selected to be its development and operations manager Both he and my grandson love to shoot and hunt. Along with the fact that both are members of the Wilson Combat shooting team, shooting mostly IDPA, but also some USPSA. In that capacity, they've travelled extensively around the country, and have been exposed to all types and quality levels of shooting facilities. I sure they'll make Colorado proud.

the long range facility was not as high a priority as some of the other disciplines. The work continues to develop the 1000 yard range however it is slow going.
I personally have not been to the range in months and I only live 5 miles away.
We have a 600 yard F-Class match this morning at the Jarvis range in Whitewater, CO, I will ask Dave and Jerry what they know.

I think the cost of improving the road to the upper bench where the long-range facility will be was more than expected. They did develop an incredible short range rifle and pistol facility. It is open to the public and they are doing well. The 1000 yard part is what is moving slow.....
