I want to play. :'(

Yes I saw Emil Praslick and Mid Tompkins shooting F today. Scored my first F class target today. Took a little getting used to the 6 ring and 6.1 ring inner. One of the Ausies stayed by so I didnt screw it up.

We have a pretty good showing of folks from the states here.

The opening Ceremony tonight was amazing with a Brass band and fireworks display that was quite amazing... great show by the Australians. All Teams dressed up in there suits and ties. Very nice time.

We got a little wet this morning and ended up having about a two + hour rain delay. Then the clouds worked there way out and the sun came out and a glorious day greeted us with mild wind and warm temps.
Brits put up a Perfect 600/600 in the morning team match on the 300 yard line. Kudos to them with all 6 shooters shootig perfect scores.... Well done.

Presidents Match is in the Bag. Weather was really nice yesterday temps in the 70's and rising to the mid 80's with sunshine in the monring a light cloud cover in the afternoon. We had apprx 6 or 7 shooters make the coveted top 10% (35) for the presidents badge. Our top shooter was the awsome Trudie Fay in seventh. All the US hard holding women on the US Palma team team made the cut. Trudie, Noma Mayo, and Nancy Tompkins. Hard for a guy to win with these ladies around.

Next up is the Australia Team Match. Then the start of the Queens Indviduals. Part of there National Championship.

Under 25 team USA Red Wins the Under 25 Australia Team Match!!!!! Team Coach and Captian Kyle Liebetrau and Andy Dooney ( hope I spelled that right) The USA Blue ( U 25) came from behind at 1000 to place third. Im very very very proud of these young Men and Women.....well done.

Young Eagle Joshua Lehn Was High score shooter of the team match of all teams combined. Congrats.

Our Own Bryan Litz shot a perfect 200- and 26 v's to tie the Record for and indv shooter in this team match. There was a long loud standing Ovation for Bryan during the awards afterwards. Very touching from all the nations present.

Congratulations to the Great Britain team for retaining the Australia Match Trophy ahead of South Africa, USA, Australia, Canada and New Zealand.
Good luck for also retaining the Palma trophy in two weeks.

Richard.

Today.
Started off with a Rain Storm at about 0500 and lasted to about 0800 clearing up just in time for the Teammatches of Veterans teams.... Under 25 and good will teams. USA Veterans team took Second in there repective Veterand teams. The big story is the Under 25 teams.... Again..... USA Red and Blue took 1rst and 2nd with Canada Under 25 team taking 3rd. What great come back for the blue team to make to take the silver meadal. Good Job to Kelly for making that come back.

USA GoodWill took Gold also. Unfortunatly there where only two teams represented here. Kinda thought Australia would would put up a couple of teams in there own country.

So where are the F/TR results, trying to see how Emil and Mid are goin, takin the lead no doubt.

They're at the bottom of that Ozscore.com page. Standard is their F/TR, Emil's off 16 @ #14 out of 21 shooters listed.

Russ, Is there a website someplace with a calendar of remaining events?

I can just tell you since we are down to tne last two major events. The world Long Range championships start in 2 1/2 hours from this posting. If you check the results page you will catch our mornings shoot. Speaking of Morning what a absalute beutiful morning here. The US team has to take a detour this morning as there is a Triatholon going in front of our hotel this morning. Hope we are not late!

Today is 900, 1000 yard Indv. then for the next three days it will be a combination of 800,900 and 1000 yards with three Yard lines a day. Theeeeeennn the big Palma match.

Ill dig out my book to see the dates if I get time today. Which has been kinda lacking since we spend most of the day at the range and by the time we get home and shower, go get something to eat and maybe shop for essentials its time for bed. Been a long week and half.

Hope all is well for you.

We shot 900 and 1000 yards today. Wind was light in the morning at the very start. I heard guys saying they had about 2 MOA inthe first couple of relays and I came off with 4 second to last relay at 900 yards. It wasnt so much the total velocity as it was the severe drop offs that got alot of people. By the time we moved to the 1000 yard line things got a little worse. the wind had picked up a little and the gusts and let offs where back to back. Worse yet I could not make rime nor reason of the mirage or the flags to what the bullet impact was doing at times. Very fustrating range to shoot on. Local shooters have a huge advantage here.
I had 7 MOA on the gun today at 1000 yards. It was a serious &^*^ kickin.. Again not so much the total velocity as the change ups. I watched as some relays did not turn there windage knob at all while the very next guy was puting 1 1/2 MOA and then taking it off then puting it back on and so forth. It was just a matter of when you got to shoot on which relay. Story after story i heard of the same thing happening.
Tommorrows forcast is for some serious wind.. so we shall see how that turns out.

Weather has played a huge roll in the last couple of days standings. By pure luck you may be on a relay that had a constant wind of maybee 5 minutes long and you had best take adavatage of it. I watched John Whidden get held up 2 times in his string as the rain came rushing in then passed through and started again in just a couple of minutes and they stopped again then back to shooting. Its been real crazy with wind. with 8 relays shooting on each yard line its a roll of the dice of weather you got caught in a fast moving wind that dropped and changed direction like a NBA union offer. I could here the gromets on the flag poles snapping against the poles at about 5 times... ding ding ding ding ding. Good news is that its suppossed to let up tonight and get a better over the next couple of days. Spring time... you got to love it.

Yet the creame still rises to the top. While the stinky cheese such as my self sinks to the bottom.
