World Championships Australia

Russ thanks for your reportage. Almost makes up for (me) not being there in person. Maybe 2015 when it won't require $X,000 + two 24-hour flights to shoot for ten days.

Congradulations to John Whidden for winning the Queen's match and for a 9th place finish in the World Individuals class of 375 entries.

Day one of the Palma is complete. A real coaching challange for all teams involved. This range at times will give you elevation shots in the 4 and 3 ( 9 and 8 ring US) at times. You can look across the whole range and see them. If you have never had the chance to see the flags here there are ALOT of them 9 on a row from the pits to the firing points at 1000yards and four rows. a set on each side and two rows down the middle. I call it TMI too much information.
The British team shot wonderfully today and are in a pretty good lead going in tommorrow. As they say though.. its not over till the fat lady sings...

weather was partly cloudy with variable winds and temps in the low and mid 70's.

The British team won, followed by the South Africans, and the US team.

Judging from the scores, it looked to have been a very competitive match, with some very challenging conditions.

Congratulations to all, and safe travels home.
