Wireless wonder (target camera) - still being sold?

I tried to contact Forrest Foster about his wireless wonder target camera and his email didn't work (FFoster@dsginc.biz). Just curious if he is still selling the target camera.

Are you sure it was Forest's camera system? I believe it was another system that flopped, or should I say the guy was not shipping after payment.

I purchased Forests system a couple years ago and it works good, I have used it out to 600 yards and was hoping to try it at 1000 someday, I have not heard from Forest for a while, might be personal stuff but don;t remember anyone ever complaining about Forests system.

The TargetTeck system is out of business. I bought one for testing and it wouldn't work even at 75 yards. I send it back, tried to get a refund and there was no response. Eventually I needed to have Visa reverse the charges.

The current PSW system we use that works great is featured here:

$1500.00 complete with batteries and monitor. Visit www.ProSecurityWarehouse.com or call (407) 447-1637.

If you are interested, I built my own remote wireless system using a $50 linksys router, a $400 2X optical zoom security camera (ebay) and a high-gain antenna. You would also need a laptop although if the camera you buy supports the app, you might be able to use an iPhone or iPad- maybe even an Android-based device. Also a couple of cheap chinese 4800maH 12V Li-ON CCTV batteries which are small and encased, making them easier to use than a motorcycle battery or something. Finish with a Pelican case to pack it in and you are good. I'd guess the total amount of money invested, not including my laptop which was "free" from my work, is about $600 - $650 including shipping & stuff.

The setup I have *technically* should be good to a mile, but in testing, it's far less than that, but it's worked well out to 1500 yards for me.

Anyhow, if you want to PM me, I can send you the instructions. Anyone who has basic computing skills (i.e., type your name, press the power button, and connect to a wireless network) should be able to set it up easily.

i have about $175 in my 600-1000 yd. system, camera, Tranmitter, Reciever, TV, batteries and inverters....I see no reason to spend $1500 to see a holes in a target while prcticing.

Newbie here.
Mike,
Could you share the info on your system, esp.the transmitter and receiver type, wattage, type of antenna and where you purchased it.
I've looked at a lot of sites and I'm not sure of exactly what I need at 1000 yds.I have the camcorder and monitor.
Thanks in advance,
Ron
