Hi

Where I can find the wire for thread measuring? There is a specific place?

Thanks

Liseo

ebay etc. If you're going to use wires, the Flexbar PD wire holders will save a lot of cursing, unless you are that guy with 3 hands. --Jerry

you are right about that, but ever try the foam ear pug trick?

Also I bought a set of import thread mic's from Enco a few years back 0-1., 1-2, 2-3,". all came with the inserts for the various tpi and a standard. The measurements I get from them seem to correspond with my thread wires so I have not used wires in a few years.

One source is Manhattan Supply Co. A catalogue the size of a NY phone book.
Orrrr, for non nuclear work, drill bits from your # drill box will work. I ran the #s through the Machinery Hand Book back when and the diff was very minimal.
As far as holding wires in place, the foam plug sounds good......I used a rubber band.

I've moved to thread mic's my self as AKAJUN mentioned. But the dab of grease works good for wires.
