Wipe-Out Patch -Out vs. Wipe-Out Foam

Well, it is time to buy some more Wipe-Out. Have any of you guys tried the new liquid Wipe-Out. I have used the foam for a couple of years now, and I am very happy with its performance.

Is the liquid as good, better or worse than the foam?

Thanks,
Chuck

I've been using the foam for two years and the liquid for just one month. For seriously neglected barrels I still prefer the foam method - accelerator, foam, 12 to 24 hour soak then clean out with 1 wet patch,MPro7 or Elite) and two dry patches.

For normal cleaning at the range or at home after a short session at the range I am starting to prefer the liquid method - 1 patch with accelerator, 1 patch with the Patch-Out liquid, 15 minute soak then 2 dry patches. Maybe I just prefer the patching, old habits die hard.

I was recently asked to inspect the bores on two new rifles. I always do a 1 wet patch,MPro7 or Elite) and 2 dry patches before sending the bore scope through the bore. The inspection showed that both had been test fired at the factory and had some copper residue. So I tried the liquid method - 1 patch with accelerator, 1 patch with the Patch-Out liquid, 15 minute soak then 2 dry patches. This successfully removed the copper from both barrels.

Recently I've been using WipeOut/PatchOut in lieu of the foam, as I get tired of the mess. FWIW, I start by scrubbing w/ Witch's Brew on a nylon brush, use a couple wet patches of WipeOut Accelerator to flush out the WB residue, then a couple patches of PatchOut... seems to clean the LW barrel on my 10FP up pretty slick. I just started using this combo on this barrel; previously I just used the Accelerator and the WipeOut foam on other guns so it's not a direct apples-to-apples comparison.
