One shooter who has a little experience in the Br game that uses Patchout/Accelerator is Tony Boyer. James

I use it. Its great. I don't shoot br but i do fclass . I clean about every 100 rounds with it. It gets mine so clean i have to foul my barrel about 7-10 rounds to get all my accuracy back.

When they extend the length of VFS matches to 30 minutes in lieu of the current 10, then maybe I'll try it....sure looks awful messy compared to what I'm used to...might have to put double o-rings on the bore guide. I would still have to address the carbon....at which I hear it fails to do.

For my F-class .284 & 6SLR; that is all I use. I try to keep it as simple as possible..clean about every 75-100. Might use a nylon brush if I'm really bored. Run some Patch Out thru, followed by Accelerator and then some foam. Come back the next day and repeat...all done. After 1000+ rounds in each they continue to shoot very well and while I haven't scoped the barrels for carbon, I don't really want to as "if it works don't mess with it". I might see something down the barrel that might get me to change my cleaning regime. I've been quite happy with the current cleaning "process". Eric in DL

I use it in my guns. My Krieger barreled 223 FTR rifle has never had a brush in it. No problems yet. I also use it in my new Savage 308 FTR. No borescope, but I do believe it dissolves the carbon if left overnight.

That's all I've been using for several years in my BR & varmint rifles; it does remove carbon, but slowly. Works best if you wet the barrel with it then come back the next day to finish it up. I occaisionally finish up with JB, or sometimes IOSSO (when PD shooting - lotsa rounds).

i like this imput . it was so easy to use if it hadnt been for the grey& black stuff coming out id of thought it wasnt working but my barrel has never had a brush in it except for an occasional nylon with isso great stuff thanks for all imput on this im used to stuff that bring tears to your eyes& kills 2 generations of sperm cells thanks again shooter63

I used to use their Carb Out followed by WipeOut/PatchOut with Accelerator if I was at a match.

These days, I have gone to using BoreTech C4 at the range followed by WipeOut/PatchOut when I am done for the day.

I am no BR shooter but, I use the Wipe Out/Patch Out and the Accelerator in my cleaning regimen. I only use it for copper removal but, it does a good job on carbon if present! Normally I start out with wet patches of Butch's followed with some brushing, normally 10 passes, to take care of powder fowling. After that I go with the Patch Out and Accelerator to get the copper!
