Wintertime Matches

I did some searching and didn't find much. Are there any 600-1000 yard shoots that go on during the winter months in the Oklahoma/Kansas or surrounding area. I know its probably not as much fun in the cold wind but challenging for sure. Wasn't sure if this was something others may be wondering about....Thank for any replies..

Come to Bayou Rifles in Houston! We have BOTH 1000 and 600 yard matches all year..

One of the guys that shows up quite often drives in from Denton, Texas.. That can't be very far from you.. Maybe 3 or so hours.. You might be able to ride with him in if you decide to come.. That would make both your trips a lot easier..

The schedule for OK City lists winter matches, and as Dos XX said.. this bulletin for Little Rock lists a January match.

Not that drawn out. Knowing the BC of your bullet and the muzzle velocity, you can easily determine if it stays under the limit for "point blank" range as defined by the Guard at the base. If it does, you are good to go and just bring a copy of the sheet with your info on it for the range officer to keep on file in case the Guard requests it.
