Manatee "Dirty Bird" Shoot is History

Fun times at Manatee in the back benchrest range today. SavageDasher ran a 300 yard paper shoot followed by a fun shoot for general hunting or any rifles.



Here Betsy Webber is looking over a group shot by Charlie Brown in the competition "Dirty Bird". The winners were:



Ron Lambert (L) with a 199/200 11X score getting his money from SavageDasher along with Cory Tolksdorf for winning with a .908" group.

Later on, during the fun shoot, many kinds of rifles showed up for a try.



By drawing, one shooter won a new Bostrum tuner brake with others getting a $50 bill and more nice prizes just for participating. Charlie Brown tried out another Dasher rifle during that fun shoot and had a group in the .7" range Everyone is hoping to break into the .5's in the future. With those Manatee mirage and wind conditions, 300 yards can sure be a challenge.

Looks like a lot of fun Larry. I'm back in town and hope to make one in the future.

Next shoot will be August 15 2015 with a Swap meet. Dirty Bird shoot will be the 3 Saturday of the month
the 600 yd Gong shoot will now be the second Saturday. The reason for the date change Is the 3 gun shoot need the range. They must of had over 75 shooters. Great Job Marty and your crew. Larry
