Winchester mod 70 woes

I’m not familiar with win mod 70 but bolt removes only after taking a thin small flathead screwdriver and pressing the piece of flat metal that actually stops bolt. The bolt release alone is not enough. I have clean sprayed and then lubed release and the metal bolt stop bar but have to manually push bolt stop bar down to remove bolt. I’m thinking this is why i don’t have a model 70 ! Is this a common problem or could over charge load caused this problem ? The rifling in barrel looks great and the chamber and lugs look good but again - I’m not a smith !
In the pictures of the bolt I see that part of the extractor is broken off but I can’t see if the rest of the extractor is still on the bolt. If the extractor is not on the bolt the bolt will not remove without pushing the flat piece with a screw driver as you have described that is actually the ejector on a clawed extractor model 70. When you replace the extractor the bolt should remove by just pushing the bolt release.

Ihunt you are exactly right - had to push with flathead in order to move stop enough to get bolt out. That was after i cleaned oiled everything too. So again i have absolutely nothing in this rifle and am willing to put a reasonable amount of $ into it. If any of the fellas in the know would like to do the work - prefer to change cal to 243 with a new OR used barrel and new stock. Whatever parts follower bolt pieces or whatever parts are needed. I’m not sure maybe bottom metal can be straightened ? I can buy barrel and stock or will let smith supply along with bolt parts. However, i dont want to have as much in this rifle as a custom action ! I will just sell for parts ! If interested in doing work or buying for parts let me know. I can go either way. Wouldn’t mind having a mod 70 just because i don’t have one but again within reason i can go either way ! The rifling looks really good in this 30.06 barrel but again i prefer smaller caliber. Barrel may be trash . I’ve looked for bolt parts and a stock but not much out there available. Didn’t look at eBay for used. Any suggestions or offers is appreciated. Willing to send any specific pictures just let me know what you want to see.

NOTE, opinion. If it is a Pre-64 it is well worth what is suggested. Post 64's are basically just a 700 copy of sorts, so less valuable.
Most gunsmith/shops in my part of the country, SW Idaho charge a hundred bucks an hour. Make sure you have a realistic estimate before you go down that Rabbit Hole...
