Nice looking Thumper; someone wanting one well here you go. Good Luck with sale !

Curious, western or eastern Oregon on location?

Free bump. My favorite .338 for hunting in any State. How does it shoot? Do you have any test targets at 100 yards, and/or further showing how well it shoots?

The 210 grain partitions were hard to beat!

Thanks for your interest!

I have good records on its accuracy (around 1 MOA), but I don’t take or keep many pictures of targets. I’ll have to look around.

I’ve tried several bullets in it, but my favorite is the 205g Hammer (Power Hammer). My load is 2,867 fps over 57g Varget. Great load.

It’s a “Classic” model from the late 1990s that replicates the Mauser-style extractor of the pre-64 models.

Thanks for the interest.

338-06 is a very capable round, I just took delivery of a 338-06 AI or I would be interested in this rifle. Every time I see it come up I have to click and see if anybody has taken advantage of the listing. If a guy was looking for a 338-06AI this would be the easy button although it’s very capable just like it is. I use 210 partitions in the two I’ve played around with. Great action, barrel and stock, classic hunting set up. GLWS sale, that’s a nice rifle, priced right too.
