Will use of my Harris bipod raise the POI somewhat for my 308 rifle?

The rubber feet certainly can create a bounce effect as the gun recoils rearward. I have a slo-mo video of this happening but don’t know how to attach videos.

The cheap, flexing stocks are problematic in that the poi can change with any method of support. Sight in with bipod, poi shifts with bags, sticks, even a backpack or Lead sled. With hunting rifles, I make sure the rifle zero is stable with all of the mentioned supports. Than no surprises while hunting.

I haven't found the bipod to change poi, but this shooter running the bipod certainly has.

more than the shooter, it has to do with the shooting surface.
i like to use mouse pads under the feet off a bench to control bounce.
car roof or hood adds bounce.
rock under a leg tosses l-r
it dont changs zero , the surface under the feet changes how the rifle reacts to the shot recoil.

How does one compete in a PRS match if every different setup at the stations changes the poi? My light 300 Win Mag hunter doesn't bounce. It's the setup and the shooter.

You learn where the bullet goes based on the rest or barricade at each stage.

At the same time, also depends on the size of the target. PRS counts hits, not how close to center.

my point exactly.

aka, the nut behind the trigger needs to learn to use his set up. different surfaces can cause the bi pod to react badly. just like a crappy sand bag or any other rest out there.
a bipod isnt going to make every shot hit the center X
it certainly has its place in the field.
