will a 2 screw short action fit F class stock

will a model 12 BVSS 2 screw short action fit a F class 3 screw short action stock and will the screw spacing work thanks for any help Mark

Savage has different screw spacings on the two screw actions as well as the three screw actions. You will need to check the screw spacing on the stock as well as the action in question.

It wont work without moving and slotting the front hole.I was going to do that and I sold the hs recently and now I am kicking myself.

You need to drill and put pillars in, fairly simple, I've done it to make a "J" action fit in a standard 110 stock.

What the other posters are stating as facts may or may not be true. Savage(as I already stated) has different action spacings on both the two screw and three screw actions. If you have a 4.4(centerfeed) spacing two screw action and a three screw 4.4 front to rear screw spacing stock it will drop right in. There is no way to tell unless you measure.

I find no reason why this would be questioned, it's just like starting with a blank, lay out the centers, drill out the stock for the correct size pillar as sometimes the 1/2"-9/16" "stock" ones are not large enough, then following pillar installation instructions epoxy them in.

Find it hard not to be true as I have done it.....
