Prayers
I believe we will know all about it in 10yrs. The inventor of mrna says dont take it, then twitter fact checkers called it misinformation and banned him. Yes the 19yr old fact checkers know more than the guy that invented it 45+ yrs agoI pray for everyone, as all have been affected by this virus. It does concern me that the RNA vaccines utilize a spike protein that "grows" or multiplies in the spleen, very similar to neurological disorders.
SCOTUS didn't mandate anything, the Biden Administration did. SCOTUS declined to declare it unconstitutional is all. They agreed that Medicare/Medicaid can decide when to withhold funding from noncompliant hospitals.Just think the supreme court mandated that the people that were heroes thru the endemic before the jab was fast tracked now are required to get said jab. A big double barreled middle finger to the folks that helped us get thru the hard times
At least Pfizer has admitted their vaccine does nothing to prevent Omicron infection/transmission. How they allow a claim to "reduce symptoms" as a vaccine is illogical.
best wishes for her complete recovery rebYeah, don't mean for this to end up as a locked thread guys. We are are all on the same page. Just wanted prayers for the hard working little woman. Nurses are a Godsend to us and God knows they have somewhat thankless jobs. My wife tested 3 folks at work while waiting on the results of her own test. Gloved up of course. But we are all gonna get it, just the way this works.
Viruses with low variability and minimal mutation, vaccines tend to work great!Sorry to hear of your wife's illness, @rebel . I hope she kicks this one quickly, with a minimum of fuss.
Haven't had it myself, yet, so far as I know. (Knock on wood.)
It's no different than, say, catching an illness. It raises the body's defenses (via production of antibodies), which helps, repeat helps, guard against illness next time around. Doesn't eliminate the risk; never has, never could. Doesn't necessarily mean a given person's symptoms won't be severe, even deadly; never has, never will. This vaccine, like most others, is just like that.
Of course, in the case if this thing, it's the first time around the dance floor, so to speak. They weren't sure how it'd behave, mutate, how rapidly it could spread, the severity of illness, how certain co-morbidities could impact risk, etc. As the stats rolled in, they've identified which strain(s) and what severity, whether requiring hospitalization, etc. Before it was apparent, all the drug companies could do was guess ... until it was tested, and once it was confirmed with actual cases.
I'd be much more focused on the efficacy numbers. These things are reported to have an 80-90%+ efficacy, going down significantly over time (hence the booster regimen). Now, if these vaccines had a 99.998% efficacy rate, that'd be something else ... but they don't.
The smallpox vaccine has turned out darned efficacious @ 95% (per CDC). The polio vaccine's even more effective @ 99-100% (3 doses, per CDC). Guarantees nothing, but it's about as close as it gets.
Our prayers are with your familyShe's a nurse. Twice jabbed because she thought it would protect her Mom that we lost in April to stroke. Hopefully just the Optimus Prime variant. Expecting heavy snow this weekend so at least she doesn't have to drive in the crap to work Monday. Love that girl, watching her close. This is her second go round. If I come out of this OK I think we can confirm natural immunity as we both had a heavy dose in early 2020. Prayers appreciated. Thanks.
Done. Hope she mends quickly" Just wanted prayers for the hard working little woman. Nurses are a Godsend to us and God knows they have somewhat thankless jobs. "
My guess is she’ll have a miraculous recovery by Sunday evening and the new treatment protocol will be “snowed in with a spouse with a bum leg for 72 hours”Expecting heavy snow this weekend so at least she doesn't have to drive in the crap to work Monday.
Vitamin D, C, Zinc and a Zinc ionophore is all any of us need. No jab for me.
