Why not a 6mm AI

Ackman said:
For shooting small critters that dig, varmint hunters aren't concerned about steel penetration with 90-100 gr. bullets. And a 243 isn't anywhere near being in the same league as the 6AI.

+1 You are correct Ackman, no offense cliffy

My 60 grain .224' Nosler Partition .223 Remington loads easily hit 3200 fps with sub-minute accuracy. It's all in the primer/powder choice: 24.3 grains of Alliant Reloder 10x powder via a MAGTECH 7 1/2 SRM primer equals MAXIMUM .223 PERFORMANCE for medium pig through whitetail devastation. This load is bolt-action geared in modern rifles. AR-15 rifles may or may not like this power, so experiment carefully. cliffy

Hi Ackman, A rock-stock .243 Winchester is in the same ballpark as a .243 Ackley Improved. Just the shoulder slope is different. Work with what you enjoy shooting, just as I do. Hodgdon H4350 should be your first powder choice as it is with my .243 Winnie Pooh. Handloading is the true miracle worker. cliffy

Ahhh.....no it isn't, they're different ballparks. And 4350 isn't.

cliffy where did this come from? nobody asked your thoughts on .223 loads, this was a post about '6mm AI' not a post about your thoughts on .243's or loads for your .223, if you don't have any knowledge about the 6mm AI,and i'm sure you don't, then move on and let someone who knows what there talking about leave some useful advice..

Matt..
