Why not? 6PPC

I'm thinking of building a new rifle this fall, I have a 30BR now and a 30BR being built, this is for score UBR shooting. I guess my question is why try something else and not build another 6PPC when the 6PPC is and has been "king of the hill"? I know many of you shoot more than 1 caliber and more than 1 discipline so why should I try a 6 grinch? Or another 30BR or a 6BR or whatever. Love to hear your thoughts!

It'll work very well and is certainly a winner. Matches are won at 200 yards, as a whole. Whatever you choose, just don't lose the whole match at 100...and win it at 200.
Easier said than done, but true.

Agree with Mike matches are won at 200
Nothing gonna help ya if you shoot at the wrong time
A ppc in tune in the right hands is hard to beat, however
Larry Moore did just that last year at the UBR nationals 6bra I believe

There is a lot to be said for choosing a 6 PPC. For one, if all you want to do is win, why look any further? I don't currently shoot one, but everybody knows I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
If you get the Grinch up to speed it can be pretty hard on brass and that stuff isn't cheap. IME- the 220 Beggs is the easiest to make, simple to load, no problem at 200 and is capable of doing a lot of winning. It also has nearly no recoil and is cheaper to shoot than most anything. "You could look it up". But all that being said, I think every perfect UBR score has been shot with a PPC.

I'm a little "odd" like that in I like to try and do things with stuff that is not the "norm" ............. sorta like you! ;-)

Go with what bolt face you have is the main thing. Youre mentioning br and grinch at the same time. This is only if you dont have a combo bolt face that is.
