Why didn't I think of that?

It will work with any screw-in type die since it simply allows one to move the die up or down in a measured way. For those testing seating depths in new loads, it will allow precise movement of the seating depth in a seating die. James

To add to what JD said, we have played with the unit a little bit with seater dies and my concern is that by changing the location of the die rather than of the seater stem, you don't get the support for the bullet and case that you would otherwise. The Micro Die Adjuster also has a very limited range of adjustment (.070") so using it for starting from scratch and trying wildly different bullets, say for instance, severely different ogives, BT versus Flat Base, or a wide variety of bullet weights might not be optimum.

It may have a place if you use the seater stem to make the rough adjustment, getting it close and then using the Micro Die Adjuster to fine tune the +/- .035" or so for finding the optimum seating depth, or for chasing throat erosion. Maybe JD would like to do some further testing on using it for bullet seating or maybe he already has ;).

when i adjust die up from shell holder to set head space i get .003 to .0035 difference in head space. using redding thicker shell holders bumping die firmly head space is +or- .0005
