Why are there So Many new Nightforce 15-55 Competition Scopes for Sale

I agree with the CH-3 as the best reticle. When I registered my scope (Comp 55) When asked how to make it better...I told them put a CH-3 reticle on it and they would have a better scope. I did find the eye relief a little tricky. But my biggest complaint is the fat cross hairs and the majic marker dot. I bought this for the 55X @ 300yds F-class, and thought I could deal with the reticle, the more matches I shoot with it the less I can deal with it.(You have to move the scope all around to see behind the lines and dot for your group). When you have to do that it's simply too big and messy of a reticle. Between my 42X CH-3 and the Comp55 , If I was to keep only one it would be the 42x ch3. I do like the glass in the 55x, I compared them both side by side at a target 250yd away and the 55x has the upper hand on the power and clarity. But if I was to try and hit a fly at that range it would be the 42x ch3. I can't wait for NF to offer a ch-3 change I will be the first in line. The side focus is nice, I'd give it all away for a NF 15-55x56 bench rest CH-3 version. Make me one Nightforce. Pat

This thread is funny. People seem like they are in such a hurry to bash things.

I have these scopes on my rifles and have a very good reference.
Leupold 45x
Nightforce 12-42 BR
Nightforce 8-32 BR
Nightforce 8-32 NSX
Sightron SIII 10-50
March 10-60x

To me it combines the best elements of all of them. Bright and clear like a Leupold 45x, wider field of view than the Nightforce BR, awesome tracking and side focus of Nightforce NSX.

If there is something that should be bashed its the March scopes. Super expensive and horrible optics.

I also see a lot of Leupold Competition Series 35,40 & 45x, and Sightron S111 10-60x60mm's for sale.
This is the third post today from three different threads where three different members have talked about a Sightron SIII 10-60 power scope. Is this something new I do not know about? I thought their most powerful SIII was 10-50 power, at least that is what their website shows.

snakepit: You are correct: my error. Meant to say S111 10-50x-60mm.

That being said, I still see a lot of scopes other than the new NF 15-55x on this site that are for sale.
I'm perfectly happy with mine.

I just wanted to add a note to this thread. The 2013 FTR World Championship winning US team all used the new Nightforce 15-55 scopes. I really like mine. :D

What makes you think they gave us the scopes? They gave us a discount but they weren't free. Might want to check your facts next time. I like mine better than the March I had purchased previously and I think the optics are better than the NXS that I used before the March. That's why I now have NF competition scopes on both my FTR rifles and the March and NXS are sitting in boxes.
