Why 6 BRA?

Yes there is, and I just found it on the IBS site and from looking at the top 20 finishers the BR-AI was represented by 1 brave soul. Top 2 shot straight 6BR`s.

Appears about 10 of the top 20 shot straight 6BR`s

Cheers... interesting the straight BR done very well.

Tclaunch, can you post the url to the equipment list?

Thanks Jaime

I just finished the report for that match for publication on the IBS page on this site. As part of my research, I routinely interview shooters who finished at or near the top. From those conversations I can tell you that conditions were reported as horrible due to the wind, both velocity and unpredictability. This was not a good match to make comparisons between different case designs.

Boyd, you are very correct about the conditions. I talked to Bart and he said that he was doing well in the 2-gun after finishing 9th in the LG. However, on his last target in the HG, he did not have a scoreable shot. He told me that he had made an adjustment but still missed the target every shot. He does not know if he turned the scope the wrong way, or the conditions were THAT bad, or the scope went sour. James

James I spoke with the fellows that finished at the top. Conditions were that bad. A lot of good shooters DQed (failed to hit a target with one or more shots)

Scopes don't go sour, he probably had the wrong rings on it:D

Oh young Padawan, you have so much to learn! You havent lived until you've had a scope take a dump at a shoot! But in this case the scope was just fine. I shot it at home and no issues. Somehow I managed to screw the pooch! Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory!

Tom show me the picture! You know the one!

Been there, done that! I remember one year at the SS, during the last target OF THE WEEK and I was in the top ten, a small hurricane (really a thunderstorm) came up and the rain was completely horizontal. At 200 yards, I could not see any bullet holes on my target and held off the left edge of the target and pasted a 4 &1 that measured ~2 I/2 inches. That one target dropped me to about 50th place. Bart shot during the same relay and posted a 0.18x, and when I asked how did he manage that...he was honest and said "I don't know, but when the conditions looked steady, I ripped off 5 shots". That steady that he talked about was not good conditions but he overcame them. That is why I am a little shocked by his missing all shots on one target in HG. James

I know if I am ever lucky enough to have this much success with another case I sure wont be nice enough to give away the prints and load data. If people are going to imply I am pushing something to line my pockets, I might as well keep it secret and line my pockets.

I read the entire post from front to back I really didn't pick on anyone implying you were doing something to line your pockets! But if they did "piss on them" just keep doing what you do.

Bart

Bart, I didnt read this whole thread but its kind of been a bit of a theme with this case. What most dont get is it makes no difference if I am backed up 3 months or a year, you can only do so much, so you make the same money regardless. I am about burnt out on giving free info to the competition.
