Who remembers these?

Before the vinyl LP records, they made what looked like an LP record but they were single song records that played at 78 rpm. Back in the Glenn Miller days. I still have a bunch of my mother-in- laws old 78s. Anyone ember the Harmonicats? The records were not vinyl, it was more of a brittle bake-a- lite plastic. Ah, the Harmonicats playing “ Heart-O-My-Heart!

My cousin still has our grandparents old stereo console. It was made out of beautiful solid Walnut which woulf be considered, "presentation grade".
Still works great. Only parts replaced were two new speakers and a tone arm stylus. The console is an example of when things were made to last.

I walked by the music section at the big box store, and they have more vinyl records than they do CD's. They also sell turntables. What's old is new again.
