who makes 1-8 twist 26" factory bolt action varmint rifle?

Trying to find a bolt action 223 varmint rifle with a 1-8 twist and 26" tube , anyone know a manufacture of this? looking for new

Current Savage LRPV are 9 twist, but I think they made some in 8.

Not 26 inch, but Ruger's American Predator in .223 is 1-8". Mine shoots quite well.

Tikka t3 if you can find one. I beleive some of the older T3s had the 26" barrel on the varmint ones.

I have a Tikka Varmint in 24" barrel, 8" twist, heavy barrel in 223 Rem. It is an outstanding rifle functionally, and accuracy wise.

Mine shoots sub 1/2 moa groups all day long with 60 Vmax bullet and H4895. The vertical pistol grip and adjustable trigger also make it a first rate varmint rifle.

I give a 5 star rating. Was going to get one in 22 250 but then the firearms / components crisis hit full force so I will not be buying any firearms any time soon. Having enough trouble just feeding my existing rifles.

I had a Mod 10 26in and 9 twist. Ran 69g just fine out past 600 yds. Currently in bits to re -barrel in 6SLR as I like the action and stock (Choat Ultimate Varmint) and have just got a Tikka with a Tru Flight 28in 1-8.

Although you are seeking a 1:8 twist, I have had very good luck with the 73 gr. Berger in my 22", 1:9 twist Shaw barrel. As long as I do my part, it will shoot sub 1/2 MOA 5 shot groups with VV N135 at 200 yards.

I have a Tikka T3 stainless varmint in .223 that I'm fairly sure has never been fired. At most it would have only been a few rounds to zero a scope before starting load development that I never got around to. I believe the barrel is only 24" long. Tikka bounced back and forth between 8" and 9" twist and I dug through a whole pallet of them at Jerry's Sport Center looking for an 8". Last one in the bunch of course.

I'm now in central Florida and groundhogs are kind'a scarce here so it might as well go to someone that will shoot it. If you're interested do the PM thing:

You'll not find a Tikka like you want with a 26" barrel; 24" max. CZ makes nice Varmint models with 25.5" long barrels, but are 1:9" twist.

My 12FV was this. I wears a 7tw Criterion now. Factory barrel was a shooter with 50s.

Savage has 2 versions of the 12 LRPV 26”. 1 is 1x9, 1 is 1x7.
