i did want to ask about neck tension - i did notice some bullets push in a little harder than others and some just slide in - i am pretty sure that effects consistency and all my brass is hornady - i do have 50 brand new pieces and then this brass im using - never turned necks for 204 but i can -- what should i do with the new brass - should i do anything to it before shooting it like run through fl die or i will do whatever is suggested - thanks again
No sense in turning brass in a factory chamber.

fellas i dont expect it -i just want it !! i feel lucky that it shoots this well and want to get all i can out of factory rifle with suggestions from you fellas - 204 seems to be really good round and i havent spent 3400. of my hard earned money to get it as apposed to the br. i remember when the savage factory stuff outshot my br !! made me think hard - i will stretch it out to 200 yards maybe this weekend and see what happens and tune with powder and col. if it doesnt shoot any better i will stop posting !! if it does a little better i will let you know your suggestions paid off and i appreciate all the comments

this is to Gary mmcu - who i purchased this 204 from and also to the fellas that offered suggestions in post on helping me get the xr100 to shoot - this post is from another site dedicated to the 204 ruger caliber - they held an online contest just for 204 with factory and custom and a few others - mailed you the target and you send it back in and they measure - not sure how many people did the contest so this really means nothing but regardless i wanted to share - i placed 2nd and if i had been more patient i may have placed first with one shot to the left - here is the copy paste from the post and i am smgchandler - just saying thanks for the responses -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------We will let the winners tell you all about their rifles, ammunition, bench set-up, and other details that led to their success. We can pick their brains for next year. Two of the top three groups were shot with production class rifles. A production class gun, right off the shelf, in 204 Ruger is VERY accurate indeed! Notice the TOP 10 Shooters list. Some shooters didn't place in their class simply because their class was heavily populated. I wouldn't want to compete against these guys next year!
