Who has 277 Fury load data.

From pictures that I have and seen... when the ring starts to show at a low round count it looks just like polished metal but as the round count went up it starts to turn black. Looks like carbon but it's not carbon from any powder gas leakage.

From the pictures I have I'm pretty sure not reloads either. All virgin cases that got once fired and that was it.

Best I can tell you at this point in time.

Maybe Walt will have some info he can chime in with.

Exactly. If you look at how the brass is “attached” to the steel casehead, if there was gas leakage around the circumference of the case, it would separate.
The way the steel case head is attached to the brass, there can be enough enough gap before fully expanding against the chamber wall for gasses to escape without separating. Also, how far the gases go as they escape can be limited to how fast the brass's body seals the chamber off. . . much like the necks seal off the chamber where gases don't flow down past the shoulder.

Some of the other uses of these cases have shown the same kind of grove, but their pictures were after they had cleaned that part of the chamber. My picture is before I cleaned my chamber.

The only time I've heard of these case heads separating is when the case gets stuck in the chamber (the brass molding into the grove) where pulling on the head will pull it right off the brass body. When sizing, I make sure to use plenty of lube so that this doesn't happen when pulling these cases out of my sizing die. I almost this happen on one when I was sizing it and trashed it as no longer useable.
