My wife helped me buzz mine off Sunday afternoon. We couldn't get the transition under control, so I ended up with the #4 guard all over. I'll be wearing my ball cap for the foreseeable future. My hair grows fast so I should be able to get it fixed up in 3 or 4 weeks if everything opens back up.

After reading this, I can't get the image out of my head of Wile E. Coyote with the center of his head shaved clean by an "accidental" Acme shotgun blast. No worries though, it'd still be a better cut than mine. LOL

New Update: I went back over it with the clippers using a slightly shorter spacer (and a great deal more care). It's definitely an improvement. Searching an unrelated topic, I accidentally came across a link to "Quarantine Beauty Fails". It must have been fate. Regardless, I'm liking my own "Covid-cut" much, much, MUCH better after reading it:

I'm about to get a buzz cut myself, but winter is trying to hang on here in Pa and my blood thinners have me cold all the time as it is... Guys are finding spring morel mushrooms. and there was snow on the top of the mt's yesterday.

There is more to the story. Around Thanksgiving the owner who is 79 yo, went on vacation. While he was gone, his place was broken into and had about $20k in merchandise stolen. Then about 3 months later, the thieves came back for a second bite because the first one was so easy. They had no idea that he lived in the house about 50 ft away, and he caught them there. He came out and confronted them in the dark with a 25 cal pocket auto and the gunfight was on. The owner didn't know there was 7 thieves.
Law enforcement found some 17 bullet holes around his property but he never did get hit. The owner did get 1 bullet into one of the thieves and was later found dead. The kill shot on the thief was 9mm friendly fire not 25 auto.
The owner is probably the luckiest person alive. He has been cutting my hair for about 55 years and I'm not ready lose him as a friend.

I am reverting back to my younger days, 60's to 70's. I now am sporting long hair and a longer beard than the average person, although not long enough to braid yet. So far my wife has not complained, and she is the only person I need to make happy, besides myself. She is a true saint! My barber will probably want to charge me by the pound when I finally see him.

I was about three weeks in when the barbers were shut down. I get a haircut every 3-4 weeks so I am not happy right now. I now keep trimming and keep it off my ears but I hate having my dwindling hair this long.

I can't have my wife cut it. I am doing some virtual job interviews on Skype and I still look okay. A bad haircut could mess that up. Although I promise that no one is hiring me for my looks........

Texted my barber the other day asking if he was cutting hair.
An hour later he texted me back,asking “who is this”
I answered back telling him the fat truck driver.
Waited a few minutes and decided to send a picture.
A couple minutes later he texted me back.
Said “meet me at the shop at 3:00,park around back so no one sees you and wear your mask”
I got my hair cut so I’m good till fall.....Ha.
