It is that simple. Ammo companies are in the business to make money, ammo is simply the mechanism. I worked in R&D for years and the first step when initiating a new project was to estimate the economics; we were judged by the contribution to profitability. It's not as easy as flipping switches and turning knobs. Otherwise there is no company, no jobs.
Not to mention the time required to not only recoup the initial investment
then to start breaking even
THEN, make a profit

I asked him how much his monthly PG&E was
He said about $800
I asked then
How long before you just recoup your $60k and break even again?

He stopped and stared at me as if he never even gave it a thought, didnt answer,
turned around and walked away mumbling something about his wife

I mean Hey, if you guys want Match ammo, I'll make ya match ammo
but I aint forking out my dough to wait 10 years just to break even and have the same amount of money I had in the beginning.
There's quicker ways to gain a return on investment
