Who does AR 15 trigger work?

By once, Cry once! Just purchase what you actual want! A lot of AR triggers are sintered of MIM parts. If you are lucky they have differential hardening. once you get through that those parts fail quickly!
Some triggers especially older ones made before sintered metal parts and MIM parts leand themselves to a good and lasting outcoome and the ability to be repaired if you get it wrong the first time around.
On top of that all Mil-Spec triggers on AR's, AR Clones, M16 A1/A2, M4 all have triggers that are not considered great by modern shooters.
If you have never used an M16/M4 with 3rd burst trigger you have no clue how bad a trigger can feel and still shoot great.
All of that said I almost crapped my pants with how fantastic the stock trigger is on my PSA and PSA MOEEPT lowers feel compared to anything I ever used curtiosy of U.S. Army! Let's not candy coat things PSA is not using the best parts! The most accurate slug shotgun on this planet has the worst trigger I have ever felt in my 51 years.
You can get a nice trigger not a match grade trigger but a nice trigger for an AR for under $100. It is a two stage trigger and is 2# first stage 4.5# second stage break. $79.99.....If you can spend more than $100 LaRue has a nice trigger. I have a RRA match trigger and varmint trigger some place that I have no installed and I when I got them during covid I think I spent $64 for the one and $49 for the other. I think they want $89 now and as I said I have not installed them so I can not recomend them yet.
The use of cast, MIM and sintered trigger parts is a huge issue on revolvers, AR's and a lot of cheaper rifles today is a real problem. Even if you do a perfect job on them a few hundred rounds and they are falling apart after the trigger job.
On top of all of that the AR is not a drop friendly rifle the last thing you want to do is put a trigger and sear with odd geometry in one. Opinion for sure but lets not underestimate how many people a year shoot themselves or a family member through deglagent discharge issues. I am not trying to sound like a fear monger either but I am a dafety first kind of guy! I can not tell you how many guns I have tried at pawn shops and gunstores used that have had scary trigger's!

That’s pretty crisp for a AR.
The Larue MBT-2S or the Schmid two stage can be lightened by installing a standard mil-spec single stage disconnector spring.
This is what I would do.If you are capable of removing the existing trigger group and installing a replacement (YouTube is your Friend), I suggest you look at options provided below.
I have installed Velocity (3 lb) triggers in some of my rifles, and love them; company Owner used to work for Timney. Their standard triggers are great, and the MPC variant is perfect for my Spider Monkey digits.
Like you, I had a “Standard” trigger in an Anderson Arms lower that weighed in at 7+ lbs. Popped out the old parts and installed an ALG as listed in the first link. Remarkable improvement at just a hair under 4.5 lbs and super smooth. By the time you ship your trigger out, pay for modification and return shipping, you could be ahead by just ordering this one.

Today I used the set screw method for the trigger travel mod. My lower was already drilled thru, so I only needed to run a 1/4-28 tap the rest of the way. I used a 1/4-28x 3/8 set screw, blue loctited. 1/4-28x 5/8 caphead bolt(3/16 allenhead). Pretty easy, doesn't change trigger pull, just trigger travel. I have the set screw about 1/2 turn out from disconnector reset. Will allow blue loctite to set over night. I did cut a small piece of foam rubber to fill the gap between the set screw and grip screw, rubber was pointed on the end to fit into the set screw slightly. Have the safety selector lever in place when positioning the set screw.
My 2 trigger techs are as good as the timney in my bolt guns. I got one used but never opened and one on sale. Best AR upgrade ever.
