Who are you using to ship barrels

I have been using fedex. I use a tube or shipping box already sent to me. Like said above, I pack it full of newspaper so there is NO movement. at either end, I pack the heck out of it with newspaper then bounce on floor to see if there is movement. Then I use a lot of reinforced packing tape.

Just my two cents. Anything not encased in cardboard will have an additional handling fee. Also, you need a FIREARMS PARTS contract and account to legally ship barrels through UPS.
Maybe don't tell them what it is :)

Metal machined tubing parts!! The only question I ever get asked is, Anything liquid or explosive? Me? No it ISN'T a Nuclear device or, a bottle of wine. No problems.
A rural Post Office IS the bomb.

Try these guys

NO. Pirate ship does not allow gun parts of any kind. I shipped a barrel with them and they refused to do anything about it because it is against their terms; and technically it is against UPS/USPS/Fedex terms for a third party (pirate ship) to ship firearm parts.

How about rifle stocks ?

So how did you get it shipped ?

In the past, I have had FedEx "misplace" a barrel. No insurance claim without office receipt for the cost and what was in the package. I did insure, and had receipt, was issued a check. A month later they found it, I bought it back. I'm about done shipping things like barrels, actions and barreled actions. It is just too much of a problem anymore.

Round PVC pipe rolls. Don't give anybody an excuse!! Triangle or square box is harder to kick aside. Shipped barrels to NY from Nor Cal for chambering. Square box, no issues. Same box used both ways to and from. No issues.
Pool noodles are CHEAP and protect barrels VERY WELL!! If that piece of round metal can move in the box, it WILL and come out one end or the other.
And if it does, it's YOUR FAULT!! Don't blame that on UPS or USPS. YOU didn't pack it good enough!!

SMF!!! All I know is: Shit gets harder to get done, in all things. I do my best to simplify my life and things that I have to do. I try to buy MS Office, license to use on my Macs and PCs. Damned if MS doesn't cancel the App every GD chance it gets. I have a Dell laptop, I bought a one use license and successfully installed it. Now it says NO GOOD. I sound like the pissed off old man,,,,,I suppose that's true. I am doing my best to retire, but I still have to do official legal work from time to time. Thanks for letting me vent. Cheers!

Well I can tell ya FedEx sucks!! Lmfao
Gave a BUNCH of balsa wood sticks and sheets to a friend for flying model airplane building. I didn't expect anything in return, but he ordered and sent me a flying model. As light as a feather.
Came FED X but, the box looked to have had a brick dropped on it from about 50 feet high!! Fuselage broken in half!!
Quick phone call got a replacement sent the next day. I have seen actual tire tracks on shipped boxes.
Guess their Ins. covers shipping damage? The cost of doing business??? Unless you're into a road trip, there's no other way. :(

NEVER ship in a round tube or PVC pipe only.
It will roll and fall off the belts or slides get damaged or delayed.
Always make sure there is NO movement of item either.
A little extra tape or packing goes a long ways. It's cheaper than a damaged
pkg. or loss of item.
I like to ship my stuff like Amazon. I throw the stuff in a big box, then toss in a piece of printer paper to be able to check mark the list of requirements for "packing material".

Is that why you need to ship firearms parts "First Party" with the USPS?
