Whidden bedding blocks

Contemplating using a Whidden bedding block in a Shehane laminate and a 700 action and I'm looking for opinions pro or con. I'm not planning to swap actions and barrels back and forth but you never know. Is it basically a pick-em between pillars and glass bedding and the bedding block?

I had The Whidden block put into two McM Edge stocks. I can't fault the design and everything works well. But, it was a bit too much hassle to get them installed and I would not do it again.
